Mark started his marine electronics career in 2003 working on a wide range of inshore and offshore grand prix racing boats and super yachts around the world, specialising in design, implementation and calibration of electrical and instrumentation systems. In 2014 Mark joined Land Rover BAR for the 35th challenge for the America’s Cup as Electronics and instrumentation team lead. Following on from the 35th America's Cup, Mark continued on to the 36th America's Cup with Ineos Team UK as Electronics and Instrumentation Team Lead.
Mark set up MLC Technologies in 2019 with the aim of offering a collaborative, discreet engineering business tackling demanding and difficult applications.
Mark enjoys spending time with his family, sailing and cycling.
Jim joined MLC in July 2024 coming from INEOS Britannia the Challenger of Record for the 37th Americas Cup.
Previously he was an engineer in the Royal Air Force. Where predominately, during his service he was embedded in the UK contingent of the NATO Allied Rapid Reaction Corp based in Germany, as well as being deployed into operational roles during Operation Resolute South in 2000. Finally taking a senior staff officer role at the UK Ministry of Defense in London.
Jim's wealth of experience post military life has come from various engineering projects and program management roles for Centrica Energy, BP and Heathrow Airport.
Outside of work Jim enjoys sailing, exploring new places with his family and military history.
Neil and Mark first met during the 35th America’s Cup. Neil and Mark worked closely together and have kept in contact since. Neil comes with a wealth of high performance motorsport, automotive and marine experience and applies this experience during his work with us. Neil is a Senior Electrical Technician assisting with various projects at MLC Technologies Ltd and is highly regarded.
Ben works for MLC Technologies Ltd as a Senior Electrical Technician. He is based out of Portsmouth and works abroad regularly on various projects. He is skilled at building harnesses and enclosures, fault diagnosis and installation.
Ben holds an advanced apprenticeship in engineering (science, engineering and manufacturing Avionics).
Ben enjoys undertaking system builds and is driven to building best practice into all projects to produce the safest and reliable system possible.
Outside of work, Ben enjoys sailing, motorsports and rugby union.
Ezra Joined MLC in April 2023 as a Project Coordinator & Test and Inspection Technician.
Ezra is an experienced business administrator, having delivered complex project planning and support for NNDC.
In his spare time he enjoys running, bouldering and playing the drums.
Billy is a senior wiring harness technician with over 10 years experience working to the very highest standards mainly focused on complex motorsport wiring harness systems.
Billy joins MLC as a senior wiring harness technician with the aim to continue to develop and improve our harness systems offering his experience across design, build and test. Billy has a constant desire to learn and develop his skills and knowledge and is involved in many areas across the business.
Billy is a keen traveler, enjoys a physical challenge weather it is a long distance hike or bike ride. When not doing a challenge he likes to spend time bouldering, playing football and spending time with his family.
Steve joined MLC Technologies as a Data and Performance Engineer at the start of the 2024 sailing season.
Steve has a rich background in competitive sailing, including key roles in various yacht and dinghy campaigns across Europe and the Caribbean.
During a break from his professional sailing career, Steve is studying at the University of East Anglia (UEA), pursuing an MSc in Marine Science with a focus on Meteorology and Oceanography.
At MLC Technologies, Steve aims to combine his practical sailing insights with data analysis skills to contribute to the company's innovative projects to boost the holistic approach that MLC Technologies prides itself on.
Outside of work, Steve continues to enjoy sailing and other outdoor activities with his friends and family.
Jo joined MLC Technologies in May 2023 as our office manager.
Jo has a BSc in Environmental Biology from the University of Nottingham.
She worked in Procurement at Siemens Energy Services in Nottingham before taking a career break to raise a family. After relocating to Norfolk in 2013, Jo became an active member of her community raising funds for the local primary school, before working in education administration.
In her spare time Jo is a busy beekeeper and enjoys playing board games with her family.
Kelly Cornwall joined MLC Technologies in June 2022. Kelly has a strong background in accountancy and takes care of our accounts and book-keeping along with supporting our operational requirements across the business. Kelly works closely alongside Tzaneen in the running of the MLC Technologies accounts and finances.
Kelly is local to Norfolk and enjoys paddle boarding, riding and dog walking
Tzaneen has been involved with MLC from the start and continues to offer support and guidance across a broad range of subjects related to the business. Tzaneen also takes care of the company finances.
Tzaneen holds a BA Hons in Business studies from The Solent University.
Prior to starting a busy family Tzaneen was operations lead for Team GB sailing, supporting the team in their preparation and during the London 2012 Olympic games.
Tzaneen enjoys being on the water or being in the garden during her spare time.
Ken joined MLC Technologies in June 2022, leading our quality assurance and compliance processes which form a vital part of our business.
Ken has a vast amount of experience and comprehensive knowledge helping us to achieve our goals in quality assurance.
Ken holds an MSc in engineering and spent most of his working life designing and manufacturing pressurised equipment. He designed the tunneling compressors used on the Channel Tunnel, as well as the deck compressors for the Type 23 frigate.
Ken has taken several businesses through formal ISO-9001 quality certification and in 2017 he was honored to be asked to join the International Scientific Review Committee as a ‘Technical Assessor’.
